The next in line

My parents always remind us that no matter what will happen someday we need to find decent and loving partners in life. They have five wonderful daughters, unfortunately we do not have a brother but I guess life is a blessing for us. We are a very happy family they provided us with love and care. They are somewhat strict but we always understand them. Now that our eldest sister will finally tie the knot, we are very excited. That will make me the next in line. However, I really do not think about getting into that serious commitment. I do not have a boyfriend yet but I am happy and contented with my life. In fact I think I am not the marrying type. My sisters told me that I need to marry before them otherwise they will abstain from marrying as well. They will have to wait for a longer time I guess. I do not know if I already gave up in finding mister right. To be honest I also have suitors. One is a drug addict, a married man, an older man, a younger man, and one in prison. I have been committed before with a doctor who turned out to be gay man we ended up celebrating his femininity. But seriously I have accepted him for being brave in accepting his real self. We ended up as friends. We always communicate with each other.

Now I just smile when I remember those times. I already have a cute apartment and a nice job. I do not need a man to complete my life. My sisters tried to set me up in a blind date several times but I did not enjoy the experience. I do not have high expectations I just want a person who I can be comfortable with. Well enough of my sentiments already. I guess I need to prepare for the wedding. I really find my sisters’ choice for the bridesmaid gifts and groomsmen gifts adorable. They are personalized items they bought online. I guess they really want the wedding of our sister to be special. I on the other hand baked her cake. I have lots of orders this month but this one is the best. It is really an elegant wedding cake and when my parents saw it they really adored my creation. I just want my sister to be happy always. I know life will be different now that she will have a family of her own. 

Now that I am the next in line my parents reminded me again of finding a responsible person to marry. I just smiled at them for I know it will not be too soon for me to have an altar date.
